WITNESSES are being asked to come forward following an assault on a young teenage boy in the Pocket Park earlier this month.

At approximately 5.40pm on October 4th, a 14-year-old boy was assaulted by an older male who pulled him off his bike and pinned him to the floor before shouting and swearing at him aggressively.

Fortunately, the boy was not injured but was upset.

A member of the public pulled the male off the victim, enabling him to get up to safety. Police do not currently know who this member of the public is and they are keen to speak to them. ]
