THE collapse of events company, Bel Events Ltd, has led to the late cancellation of events up and down the country including two events due to be held at Bowood next weekend.

The events, Abba Revival and Proms Spectacular planned to take place at Bowood on 1st and 2nd September have been cancelled as well as similar events at Weston Park in Shropshire and Hole Park in Kent just days before they were due to happen.

A statement shared on Bowood House & Garden's yesterday says they had been informed the events had been cancelled by Bel Events due to 'financial difficulties' adding that Bel Events would contact ticket holders directly.

A similar statement from Weston Park says: "We have been informed, at very late notice, by the event organisers that the company has ceased trading and has been placed in the hands of a liquidation practitioner."

The Bel Events website no longer appears to be functioning, with the link only displaying the company’s logo on a grey background and no contact details.

Disappointed ticketholders  have been left devastated by the news, with many taking to social media to hit out at the Bel Events for not informing ticket holders directly, one poster said:  "Im sure its not just me, and Im sure thousands are disappointed. But I am absolutely furious about this. Purchased tickets a week or so ago and a further ticket just this week... not a sniff that there was any issue with this...and now this... not happy at all!"

Understandably, concerns have been raised about ticket refunds with many comments indicating that tickets have been purchased via V2 Radio Tickets who don't seem aware of the situation.

Bowood have said they are incredibly disappointed that Bel Events have cancelled the events and they will share any information from Bel Events as and when they receive it.
