Armed police were deployed in Calne yesterday afternoon following reports of a domestic incident involving a man seen with a weapon.
Officers responded to a residential address at around 3.30pm. Due to the nature of the report, armed officers were authorised to attend.
Police vehicles were seen near Calne Leisure Centre, close to Kingsbury Green Academy, shortly after school pick-up time prompting concern among parents and residents, with questions raised on social media.
Wiltshire Police have now confirmed the incident was not linked in any way to the school or the leisure centre.
A man in his 20's was arrested in connection with the incident and interviewed. He has since been released with no further action.
Officers are due to visit Kingsbury Green Academy to provide reassurance following the incident.
