Wiltshire Road Policing Units were patrolling the A4 on Saturday during the annual Calne Bike Meet which sees thousands of motorbikes flood to the town to celebrate everything bike - but it wasn't a motorbike that caught the attention of the police.
The owner of an Aston Martin was clocked overtaking a motorcycle on the A4, the motorcyclist was abiding to the 60mph speed limit, the Aston was clearly not.
This exchange led to a bit of tongue in cheek 'James Bond' references from the police who took to X posting:
‘Ahh 007, we have been expecting you’ #RPU patrolling the A4 for the Calne bike meet and the Aston was letting off steam overtaking a motorcycle that was doing exactly 60mph…. The drivers been issued paper work, shaken not stirred. #Fatal5'
Followers of the @WiltsSpecOps were quick to add to the Bond quips with one adding 'Nice one Money Penny' and another adding 'Needs to get Q to install a speed limiter'.
