A body has been found in the search for an 82-year-old Calne man Robert, known to many as Rick.
Police issued an urgent appeal on Sunday 28th July for help to locate a missing man who had last been seen in Tesco on Friday.
Wiltshire Police were joined by Wiltshire Search and Rescue team who were assisted by Avon & Somerset Search and Rescue, Severn Area Rescue Association, Berkshire Search and Rescue, and Lowland Rescue Oxfordshire as they moved into day two of the search today.
Sadly, Wiltshire Police have confirmed this afternoon that a body has been found and the search has ended.
A police spokesperson said: "We can confirm a body has been found in the search for missing Calne man Robert.
Robert, 82, was reported missing yesterday (28/7) having not been seen or heard from since Friday.
Sadly, this morning (29/7), a body was located in water in High Penn, Calne.
Whilst formal identification has not yet taken place, Robert's family have been updated regarding the latest development and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”
