Derry Hill’s Post Office is set to reopen later this summer after the village shop it was based in was demolished and rebuilt.
The branch has been closed since October 2025 following the closure of the former Spar store on Church Road, which was later knocked down as part of a redevelopment project.
A new purpose-built Londis shop has now been completed on the site and the Post Office has confirmed services will return from Monday 27th July.
Derry Hill Store also confirmed the news in a social media post, telling customers: “We thank everybody for their patience and can’t wait to service you all again soon.”
Post Office regional change lead Adam Williams said: “We know how important a Post Office is to a community and we are delighted to be reopening Derry Hill branch.”
The reopened branch will offer the same range of services previously available before the redevelopment, with opening hours expected to run from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week.
