Crowds gathered in Calne this morning to take part in the traditional Remembrance Sunday parade - honouring those who fought and died in conflict.

Calne Town Council and Royal British Legion marked the occasion with the Festival of Remembrance parade through the town to the church.

Calne Silver Band, Royal British Legion (RBL), Royal Air Force Association (RAFA), 5 REME,  Air Training corps 2189 Sqn(Calne), Calne Lions, Poppy Collectors, The Girl Guides Association, Calne Brownies, Calne Rainbows, 1st Calne Scouts and Calne Beavers, members of Calne Fire Service and PCSO Mark Cook joined the parade which assembled at the top of the High Street.

Calne Town Crier, Mark Wylie, followed by the Mayor of Calne, Robert MacNaughton and Calne Town Councillors led the parade to The Strand and then to St Mary's Church for the service followed by the two minute silence and laying of wreaths at the War Memorial.
