Part of the wider development next to Calne’s new Lidl store has officially been placed on the market just months after the supermarket opened.
The Lidl off Oxford Road welcomed its first customers in February following years of planning discussions and months of construction work.
Alongside the supermarket, planning permission was also granted for a separate employment development featuring 10 industrial or trade counter units.
Now, the 4.1-acre site - being marketed as High Penn Trade Park, has been listed for sale through Carter Jonas.
The estate agent describes the land as a “rare development opportunity” in an established business location with good access to the M4.
Planning consent is already in place for 10 units totalling almost 40,000 sq ft.
The site forms part of the wider Lidl development and sits close to the Porte Marsh Industrial Estate on the northern edge of Calne.
Nearby businesses highlighted in the listing include Howdens, Huws Gray and Tesco.
The opening of Lidl earlier this year was welcomed by many residents following a lengthy and at times controversial planning process.
Ahead of the launch, Lidl said the new store had been delivered in response to strong local demand for another supermarket in Calne.
