A Calne man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with sexual communication with a child and intimidating a witness.
Jason Payne, 37, of Grayling Close, Calne, appeared before Swindon Magistrates’ Court in relation to two charges.
The court heard Payne faces two charges - engaging in sexual communication with a child and intimidating a witness.
He was remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Swindon Crown Court on Friday 12th June for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Reporting restrictions are in place protecting the complainant’s anonymity under Section 1 of the Sexual Offences (Amendment) Act 1992.
No pleas have been entered at this stage.
