When Calne businesswoman Louise Smith took her daughter Indie to visit Wiltshire & Bath Air Ambulance earlier this year, she probably didn't expect it to inspire a fundraising effort of her own.
But seven-year-old Indie was so impressed by the crew that she decided to organise a cake sale to support the charity, raising £154 and counting!

Louise, who runs The Social Smith, a social media marketing business helping businesses build their online presence, had already raised £1,650 for the air ambulance earlier this year by running the London Marathon.
Following her fundraising efforts, Louise and Indie were invited to visit the charity's airbase, where they met members of the team and learned more about the vital work they carry out.

Indie subsequently organised a two-day cake sale at the family home, with all the money raised going to the charity.
There was an extra special surprise when three members of the Wiltshire & Bath Air Ambulance team, Sarah, Alice and James, stopped by on their way back from an emergency call.
Louise shared the lovely news on social media, with the air ambulance team also thanking the pair for their generosity and the delicious cakes.

The fundraising is another way the family has shown its support for the charity, which relies on donations and community fundraising to keep its lifesaving service flying.
