The annual Calne in Bloom 2024 Awards Presentation Evening will be taking place in September, celebrating the efforts of residents and communities in this year's competition.
The event will be held at the Town Hall on Thursday 19th September at 6.45pm.
This year the awards have been sponsored by Valley View Fencing and Landscaping. This local independent company said "It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to help and as a local company operating in the town it feels perfect to sponsor Calne in Bloom.
"With over 25 years combined experience working with both domestic and ommercial clients, developers and designers - we pride ourselves in creating and maintaining fantastic outdoor spaces that inspire for generations to come."
A spokesperson for Calne Town Council said: "We can see what a great sponsor we have and can agree it may take hard work but it brings so much enjoyment when we take pride in our gardening projects whatever the scale."
This year's competition included a variety of categories so there was something for everyone to enter. This includes the ever popular residents garden categories and the allotment plot competition.
Other categories include community gardening groups, education, hospitality and retailers who could enter their projects and displays.
There is also a Special Award - Wildlife Friendly, environmentally Responsible and Sustainable Garden and a Tree of the Year competition which is being run in partnership with Calne Community Nature Reserve. This is a fantastic way to pay celebrate the wonderful trees we have in Calne.
The ‘ Best in Show ’ is to receive the annual Rosemary Coombes Sustainability Cup .
