A yellow warning for heavy rain has been issued by the Met Office for later today and overnight (8/7).
The warning covers the west and south-west of England from Gloucester down to Cornwall and includes the Calne area.
It comes into force from 6pm today, Monday 8th to 3am tomorrow morning.
The warning says that periods of heavy rain will bring some disruption particularly to transport and infrastructure.
Forecasters say the heavy rains could bring localised flooding with a risk to homes and businesses. Roads are likely to become flooded too, making journey times longer. Bus and train services may also be disrupted.
