A motorcyclist in his 60's has died this morning (14/11) following a RTC on the A350.

Emergency services were called to the crossroads near Lacock at approximately 5.35am this morning after a motorcyclist and a car were involved in a collision.

The motorcyclist – a man in his 60s from Chippenham – sadly died at the scene.

A police spokesperson said: "His next of kin has been informed and are being supported by a specialist trained family liaison officer.  

"Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this extremely difficult time."

The road has been closed between Lackham roundabout and Beanacre and is likely to remain closed for the rest of the day and evening in order for emergency services to carry out recovery work and serious collision investigators to work at the scene.

Police are asking motorists to seek an alternative routes.  

An appeal has gone out to anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have dashcam footage to call 101 quoting number 27 of today.
