Kingston House Care Home in Derry Hill, has been sold to national care provider - Gold Care Homes.

The company said residents and staff will continue under the new management, with no disruption to care services.

Kingston House was previously operated by Greensleeves Care and provides residential and dementia care on both a long-term and short-term basis.

Gold Care Homes was founded in 1999 and now operates 47 care homes across England, supporting around 3,000 residents.

Chief executive Sukhi Gidar said: “I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the residents and staff at Kingston House Care Home.

“My late brother and I started Gold Care Homes with a single mission to bring joy, happiness and fulfilment to residents in our care. Twenty-seven years later, the group continues to grow.”

The acquisition comes just weeks after the company reopened another care home in Brent, which had previously closed and has since undergone a full refurbishment.

Gold Care Homes said the expansion reflects continued growth across its portfolio, with the group recently named among the UK’s most recommended large care home providers.
