There will be an overnight closure on the A4 through Calne on Monday 1st June as work continues on the town’s ongoing traffic signal refurbishment scheme.
The closure will be in place between 7pm and 5am while “essential slot cutting works” are carried out across the carriageway.
Wiltshire Council said disruption would be kept “to an absolute minimum” while the work takes place.
The latest update also confirms changes to planned landscaping around the street tree outside the Lansdowne Hotel.
Wiltshire Council said the original design is no longer possible because of substantial tree roots beneath the area.
Instead, a square metal surround filled with soil will be installed around the tree, with nearby benches moved slightly as part of the revised layout.
Planned landscaping work around the tree outside Calne Town Council offices will also no longer go ahead after the area was reviewed and no trip hazards were found.
