THIEVES were out and about in Newbury Avenue at the end of November and police would like residents to check doorbell, cctv or dashcam footage to help with their investigations.

Sometime between 6pm on November 28th and 7am on November 29th, thieves targeted a car parked outside an home in Newbury Avenue.

The owner of the car had been shopping and had left the items in the car - consequently, thieves got away with several new pairs of trainers, clothing, toiletries and cash.

During the same night, a garage in Newbury Avenue was also broken into and a bike was stolen.

Police say enquiries are currently ongoing. They would like to hear from anyone who may have CCTV, doorbell footage or dash cam footage from the area overnight on November 28/29.
