Calne will come together on Sunday, 8th November, for its annual Remembrance Sunday parade and church service, organised by Calne Royal British Legion and Calne Town Council.
The parade will assemble in Phelps Parade from 9am, moving off at approximately 9.35am to begin its traditional march through the town centre towards St Mary's Church, halting outside St Mary's Church for the Remembrance Service and wreath-laying ceremony.
Following the service, the parade will reform and march back down Church Street towards Coxhill and Curzon Street, before continuing along Patford Street and finishing near the rear of the Town Hall car park, opposite Patford House Surgery.
The parade will include local veterans, community groups and youth organisations, joining residents in remembering those who lost their lives in service to their country.
A rolling road closure is expected to be in place between approximately 9.35am and 12 noon, affecting the following streets:
-
Phelps Parade (part)
-
C394 (part, from Phelps Parade to the A4)
-
