WESSEX Water say they are working to resolve a problem with water supply in Calne as quickly as they can this morning (19/7) .
Large areas of Calne are currently without water including, London Road, White Horse Way, Trinity Park and Quemerford.
Wessex Water are aware of the problem and currently have a team working to restore, they say: "We’re investigating an issue with the water supply and aim to resolve this as quickly as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience."
Kingsbury Green Academy have been forced to close today and send students home for an early start to their summer break. A notice from the school principal, Jason Tudor said: "The fact that we have to postpone our house celebration event is very upsetting for all of us at KGA but we have taken advice on our options and it appears that we have only the option to send pupils home."
It is currently unclear whether the problem is affecting Calne Community Campus or Holy Trinity Academy and what measures have been taken there.
Meanwhile temperatures are set to soar today with forecasters predicting highs of 29 degrees today.
