A new calendar showing how Calne has changed over the years is now on sale, with all proceeds going to two local organisations chosen by the town’s mayor.

The Calne Past and Present Calendar 2027 has been compiled by Town Mayor and local historian Tim Havenith, who has also taken the modern photographs featured alongside archive images from local collections.

Each month pairs an old photograph with a more recent view of the same place, showing how familiar streets and landmarks have changed.

The calendar costs £10, with all proceeds going to Calne Men’s Shed (Not Just for Men) and Calne Heritage Centre to support their work in the local community.

Copies can be bought from Little Button Jar on Church Street and Calne Heritage Centre on New Road. Anyone looking for a Christmas gift for someone who knows Calne well might find the old photographs bring back a few memories.

Jam Print sponsored the project, helping ensure that the money raised from calendar sales can go directly to the two charities.

Town Mayor Tim Havenith is pictured collecting the first batch of calendars from Jake Fortune, managing director of Jam Print. He also thanked Christa at Little Button Jar for stocking the calendars in support of his chosen charities.
