Police have said they are hoping to be able to re-open the  A4 between Cherhill and Beckhampton shortly, as of 8am, following a fatal collision yesterday evening, 21/4.

Emergency services responded to reports of serious RTC on the A4 between Cherhill and the Beckhampton roundabout last night at about 8pm - it is believed the collision involved a cyclist and a van.

Further details will be released when appropriate.

The road was closed to allow for recovery and for the Serious Collision Investigation Team to work at the scene.

This morning, the road remains closed causing large build-ups of traffic locally as the Monday commute starts.
