Tree works will take place along the cycle route between Chippenham and Calne next week as Wiltshire Council tackles ash dieback.

The work is scheduled for Monday 9th, Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th March.

Wiltshire Council says tree surgeons will be carrying out essential work along the route to deal with trees affected by ash dieback disease.

The cycle route will remain open while the work takes place.

Banksmen will be on site to guide cyclists and walkers safely past the work area, although people using the route may be asked to wait briefly while work is carried out.

Signs will also be put up along the affected section of the route to warn users about the works.
