Keziah Harflett, a Year 13 student at Kingsbury Green Academy, has been awarded this year's £500 bursary from the Calne Music & Arts Festival.

The talented young dancer is set to pursue a degree in Dance and Performing Arts at university next autumn.

Keziah's passion for dance began at the age of four, and she currently trains at 4Stars Dance, where she is working towards her pre-associate teaching qualifications. She also attends Centre Stage Academy of Dance, where she is preparing for her grade 8 and advanced RAD ballet exams.

Head of Creative Arts at KGA, Alice Mitchell, is also Keziah's dance teacher at the school. Alice praised her student's dedication and expertise. "Keziah is an asset to the school, running the KGArts dance company, choreographing and teaching their performance work and supporting school shows with her expertise in dance."

Teacher, Tom Renfree at KGA, added: "Keziah is bound to go far as a performer, and we are delighted and very excited that she has been awarded this bursary by the Calne Music & Arts Festival. It will help Keziah as she starts her higher education."
