GRAB your tickets now for an evening of comedy at The Piggy Bank in Calne and support a great enterprise to bring the comedy to Calne rather than having to travel to Bath for the same acts! With a capacity of only 65, some of the best touring comedians have been attending these special evenings in Calne, but without a sell out crowd, the nights won't be financially viable and we will lose the ability to have a quality night out in our town.

Mark your calendars for an unforgettable evening of laughter as The Piggy Bank hosts a special comedy night on Tuesday, 6th May .

Headlining the show is Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist Markus Birdman. Markus is one of stand-up’s most well travelled comedians, much in demand in the UK and all over the world, and one of the very first British Comics to have his own Netflix Special - Live in Amsterdam.

There’s a lot of quirky charm to Markus Birdman; a man at a slight angle to the universe, to coin a phrase. Markus has an incontrovertible ability to write a good joke, Even when he’s on the apparently well-explored comic territory where he spends much of his set, he can nail an unexpected line so perfectly you wonder why all the hacks who talks about similar things never got so inspired.

‘He packs his show with more affection, positivity and healthiness than you find in a pharmacy. Like a moment of genuine loveliness that is hard to explain. Funnily positive and positively funny.’ – Skinny

Supporting Markus will be Norwegian comedian Ingrid Dahle. Ingrid is making waves on the British comedy circuit. She captivates audiences with her unique style and infectious energy. Her solo shows have been well-received, showcasing her sharp wit and distinct comedic voice. Classy comic Malinda Mukuma completes the bill.

James Cook with his quick tongue and dry sense of humour will MC the evening.

Tickets are £13.50 and can be bought from behind the bar or from the link below.
