Calne Community Campus has completed a refresh of its gym, with new equipment, a redesigned layout and an expanded free weights area now in place.

The gym was temporarily closed on 3rd and 4th September while the improvements were carried out, reopening on Saturday 5th September.

The work has included an upgraded free weights area, with two new half racks and an Olympic four-in-one rack, giving members more space for strength and functional training.

There is also a range of new equipment, including:

  • Two stair climbers
  • New strength-training machines
  • An AirBike
  • A SkiErg
  • Additional weight plates

The gym has also been redecorated, with the aim of creating a brighter and more modern workout environment.

To mark the improvements, Wiltshire Council is currently offering a number of membership deals at Calne Community Campus, available until 27th September.

These include 10% off annual memberships, while selected 12-month direct debit memberships have nothing to pay in September, with the £25 administration fee also waived.

There is also no £25 administration fee on Flexi direct debit memberships.

Cllr Mel Jacob, Cabinet Member for Communities, Engagement and Corporate Services, said the improvements would enhance the experience for existing members while providing equipment to reflect the way people train today.

The Calne work forms part of wider investment in leisure facilities across Wiltshire, with recent improvements also carried out at other centres in the county.

More information about the upgraded gym and current membership offers can be found on the Wiltshire Council website.
