Chippenham Film Festival returns to Reel Cinema Chippenham from Tuesday 8th to Sunday 13th September, with a programme of specially selected films, live guests, community events and a closing-night celebration.
Organised by Chippenham Film Club, this year’s festival features screenings across four days, alongside a number of events for film and music lovers.
One of the highlights will be a special screening of Underland on Thursday 10th September, followed by an exclusive live Q&A with director Rob Petit.
The documentary has been described as a “cinematic voyage beneath the surface of the Earth”, and the Q&A will be hosted by Nick Freand Jones, producer of Moviedrome and Mark Kermode's Secrets of Cinema.
The festival will also support local charity Doorway Wiltshire with Saturday afternoon's screening of Urchin, Harris Dickinson's Cannes-winning drama about a rough sleeper.
Representatives from Doorway Wiltshire will introduce the film and talk about the charity's work supporting people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity in the Chippenham area. All proceeds from individual ticket sales for the screening will go to Doorway Wiltshire.
A new addition to this year's festival is a Film Soundtrack Album Listening Event at the Old Road Tavern on Wednesday 9th September.
Taking place in the Tavern's barn from 7.30pm, the relaxed evening will give film and music fans the opportunity to bring along a favourite soundtrack, score or film-related LP or CD, put it on the turntable and share the stories behind their choices over a drink.
For a voluntary charitable donation, visitors will also be able to have their treasured vinyl LP cleaned and, if they wish, placed in a new audiophile inner and polythene outer.

The festival will finish with a wrap party at the Prince of Wales micro-pub on Station Hill, immediately following the final screening. All Festival-pass holders and everyone attending the closing screening are invited.
