Father Christmas is swapping his sleigh for an ice cream van this summer, as he heads to Calne for three free family storytelling sessions.
Santa will be making three stops around the town on Friday 21st August, where children can enjoy interactive stories, ice cream and some summer surprises from his elves.
He'll be starting at Calne Recreation Ground at 10am, before heading to Wessington Play Area at 12 noon and North End Play Area at 2pm.
Each session will last around 30 minutes and will be free to attend.
And Santa isn't arriving empty-handed. His ice-cream elves will be handing out vouchers for free ice cream, thanks to support from Calne Lions. Families are being encouraged to arrive early to find an elf with a voucher, which can then be taken to the Ice Queen van.
There will also be some free treats from the elves for children attending.
Calne Library will be joining the events too, giving families the chance to find out what's happening at the library and sign up.
The event has been organised by Calne Wordfest, which began in 2016 and now runs activities and projects throughout the year, including Evie's Book Swap Network, storytelling projects and comedy courses.
Bringing Father Christmas to Calne during the summer has been an idea the group has wanted to make happen since it began.
The event has been funded by Calne Area Board and supported by The Pound Arts in Corsham, with storyteller Gav Cross helping to bring Santa's summer job to life.
