Heart of the Community will be taking a week long Easter Break from 1st April but the community group are looking forward to reopening on Monday 8th April, with some minor changes.

Heart of the Community is proud of the success of Fun Friday where a different activity occurs each week.

Trustee, Mary Wakeham commented: “We were surprised at the demand for diamond art, with sessions taking place almost weekly. It appeals to all ages and abilities and the items we have made so far, include keyrings and
bookmarks.

"However, the Charity is keen to keep trying new things and we are delighted to announce - Pathway to Yoga. Matt, will be encouraging us to use stretching and breathing techniques to achieve our inner Zen, with some mobility exercises thrown in for good measure."

The opportunity to find your inner zen through a combination of yoga and pilates will be starting on Wednesday 10th April at 11:30am.

Pathway to Yoga will pilot until the end of May, when a decision will be taken whether it is utilised enough to extend the programme.

Another change will also be re-opening on a Friday night on alternate weeks, for a hot meal and some games, why not join them for a game of bingo. (5pm to 7:30pm).

A dedicated laptop is now available for guests to use for personal and any online activity. Booking is recommended to ensure that the laptop is available, and during busy times, guests may be given an allocated time slot.

Heart of the Community is also in the process of exploring if there is a demand for an afternoon keepfit session priced at £5 per person per session.

Is there an activity you would like to participate in? If so, please let Heart of the Community know – They are always interested in knowing what the community wants. You can find out more about them here: https://www.heart-of-the-community.org/
