Looking for something to do this weekend? Whether you're after an evening of live music, a family-friendly game of bingo or an unforgettable outdoor concert, there's plenty happening in and around Calne over the next few days.
Classic Ibiza at Bowood
One of the biggest highlights of the summer returns to Bowood House this weekend as Classic Ibiza celebrates its 11th year. Performed by the acclaimed Urban Soul Orchestra and conducted by Stephen Hussey, the open-air concert takes audiences on a journey through some of the biggest dance anthems of all time, complete with a spectacular laser and light show. Gates open at 5.30pm on Friday 17th and Saturday 18th July, with the concert finishing at 11pm. Visitors are encouraged to bring picnic blankets and soak up the atmosphere as the evening builds from chilled Ibiza vibes into a full-scale outdoor dance spectacular. Tickets should be booked in advance.
Calne Players Summer Bingo
Fancy a fun Friday evening? Calne Players are hosting their Summer Bingo at Marden House on Friday, 17th July. Doors open at 7pm, with eyes down at 7.30pm. Bingo books cost just £1.25, and there will also be a raffle, refreshments, snacks and plenty of family-friendly prizes up for grabs. Whether you're hoping to win big or simply enjoy a sociable evening, everyone is welcome.
Live Loud at The Ruze
Rock fans are in for a treat at The Ruze in Chippenham this Friday, with three bands taking to the stage for an evening of live music. Fall From Ruin, Lucky Number Seven and Actaris promise everything from alternative rock and hard-hitting riffs to soaring vocals and metalcore. Whether you're a dedicated rock fan or simply enjoy discovering live music, it's set to be a high-energy night with a great atmosphere. Organisers say it's the last chance to grab tickets before the bands hit the stage.
Acoustic Evening with Mac Lloyd
If a more laid-back evening is your style, head to The Ruze on Saturday, 18th July for an acoustic night with Mac Lloyd. Joining him on the bill are Barn & Izzy, Oscar Millais and Anna Young, promising an evening of live acoustic music from a range of talented performers. Doors and the bar open at 6pm, with advance tickets priced at £10 (£15 on the door). The event is for ages 16 and over.
