Karaoke Night at The Wheatsheaf

Head to The Wheatsheaf on Curzon Street, where karaoke returns with an evening of music, singing and entertainment - Friday from 8pm.

Glitch - Four comedies from a world on the blink

Theatre lovers can catch Glitch, a collection of extracts and short plays written by early-career playwrights from across the South West.

Described as a place where “comedy, chaos and culture collide on stage”, the production explores the systems we live in through a series of short performances and stories. Catch it at The Ruze in Chippenham on Friday or Saturday.

Busy Bees Garden Trail at Avebury

The Busy Bees trail continues at Avebury Manor Garden this weekend, giving families the chance to explore interactive activities inspired by bees and nature.

Children can water flowers, solve puzzles and discover more about the role bees play in the gardens.

Normal garden admission applies and entry is free for National Trust members.

Classic Car Club gathering

Classic car enthusiasts can head out on Saturday morning at 9am as local car enthusiasts gather for this weekend’s Classic Car Club event at The Rising Sun in Lacock - Sausage and bacon baps available from the kitchens - Proceeds go to charity.

Dauntsey Car Boot Sale

One of the area's regular Sunday car boot sales returns this weekend, giving bargain hunters another opportunity to browse stalls and hunt for hidden gems.

Village Fete & Vintage Vehicle Gathering

On Sunday head to Heddington for their Village Fete - Dog Show, face painting, stalls, tombola, plant sale, BBQ, cakes and much more. All vintage, classic and interesting vehicles welcome.

 

Afternoon Tea with Swing and Sweet Ballads

Those looking for something a little more relaxed this weekend can enjoy an afternoon tea experience at Bowood House and Gardens accompanied by live vintage music.

Guests can enjoy finger sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and preserves, and a selection of sweet treats while vintage singer Kitty Mazinsky performs swing, jazz and classic ballads.

The event takes place in the Kerry Suite at Bowood on Sunday afternoon, with sittings beginning from 1.30pm.
