From the return of Calne Lion's Duck Race to markets, community events and live entertainment, there is plenty happening across Calne and nearby towns over the coming days.
Here’s a look at some of the events taking place this weekend and into next week.
Calne Lions Duck Race returns
One of Calne’s best-known annual charity events is set to return on Saturday 16th May, as thousands of yellow ducks prepare to race down the River Marden.
The Calne Lions Duck Race will see crowds gather around The Wharf and Pocket Park, with stalls, activities and entertainment taking place throughout the day.
Alongside the racing ducks, visitors can also browse a Makers Market taking place during the event, featuring local traders, crafts, gifts and handmade items.
Love Calne Market in town centre
Calne town centre will also host the latest Love Calne Market on Saturday, bringing together independent traders, food stalls, crafts and local businesses.
Project 2026 - Organ Day
Music lovers can also take part in an Organ History and Masterclass Experience taking place at St Mary's Church, offering visitors the chance to learn more about the history and sound of the instrument through a guided session and live demonstrations.
The event is expected to provide a rare opportunity for attendees to experience the organ up close while hearing more about its musical and historical significance.
Maddy’s Farm Open Weekend returns to Whitehall Garden Centre
Visitors invited to explore the farm, meet animals and enjoy family activities
Maddy’s Farm will open its gates to visitors this weekend as the popular annual open weekend returns for 2026.
Families attending can explore the farm, meet animals and enjoy a range of activities across the weekend.
Rotary Classic Car Run returns to Calne
Classic cars and bikes are expected to gather in Calne on Sunday 17th May as the Rotary Classic Car Run returns.
The annual charity event features a 70-mile route through Wiltshire and surrounding areas, with a range of vintage and classic vehicles taking part.

Quiz Night
Residents are being invited to gather for a Quiz Night at Goatacre Village Hall on Saturday evening from 7.30pm, with teams expected to compete across a range of rounds and topics.
