Three dogs known to clients at a local osteopathy clinic and walkers in the Calne area are in the running in an online pet competition, with voting closing tomorrow.
The trio:Rio and River, both Swedish Vallhunds, and Wren, a tricolour Pembroke Corgi, have been entered into a public vote competition run by Tineco, where pet owners submit photos and stories and members of the public choose their favourites.
The dogs, from Stockley, are owned by Abi Shrapnell - Avebury Osteopath.

Rio and Wren regularly accompany Abi during osteopathy appointments, where they help create a calm and welcoming environment for patients.

River, meanwhile, is currently training to assist in searches for missing people and is often seen out in the countryside around Calne and surrounding villages.
In 2023, River underwent major surgery on both knees and developed sepsis during recovery, but has since returned to full health and resumed training.

The three dogs are frequently spotted locally and have built up a following among residents.
Ms Shrapnell said entering the competition was a way to highlight the different roles they play.
“They’re all so different, but they each bring something special,” she said.
Voting for the competition closes tomorrow.
