Passengers using Chippenham Bus Station will need to board and leave buses at an alternative location for almost two weeks while work takes place to replace the existing shelters this month.

Chippenham Bus Station will close for upgrades for two weeks from November 9thThe station will be closed to bus services from Monday 9th November until Friday 20th November.

Faresaver has confirmed that during this period passengers will not be able to board or alight at the bus station and should instead use the stops on Gladstone Road, near Waitrose.

A spokesperson for the bus company said the work would involve removing the old shelters and installing replacements.

The closure follows several periods of disruption at the bus station over the summer, when it was closed on two weekends in June for improvement work.

The wider transformation of Chippenham Bus Station forms part of Wiltshire Council's £6 million bus infrastructure project.
