Chippenham MP Sarah Gibson has announced a temporary reduction in her constituency and parliamentary activities following a week-long stay in intensive care over the Christmas period.

Following her stay at the Royal University Hospital in Bath, Sarah Gibson MP has announced that she has been medically advised to reduce her workload and limit her time outside the home in order to prioritise her health to ensure a full recovery.

During this time, Sarah will have limited engagement in public events, parliamentary debates, or other meetings at her usual pace. During this time her office will remain fully operational and her team will continue to handle all correspondence, casework, and urgent matters on her behalf.

Chippenham MP Sarah Gibson said: “I deeply appreciate the understanding and support of my constituents as I focus on recovery to ensure I can continue to represent our community effectively in the long term.

“My team and I remain committed to serving the needs of our community, and I look forward to resuming my full duties as soon as possible.

“I would also like to thank the staff at the RUH for the flawless and attentive care I received during my stay.”
