Police have renewed an appeal for information following a serious collision near Collingbourne Ducis which left a motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency services were called to the A346 shortly after 10am on Sunday 19th April after a crash involving a Land Rover and a motorbike.

The rider, a man in his 40s, was airlifted to Southampton Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

Officers are now keen to identify the driver of a blue vehicle seen travelling west along an unnamed road from Wexcombe towards the A346, just south of Collingbourne Ducis.

Initial reports suggested the vehicle may have been an Audi A1. However, following further enquiries, police now believe it was a Volkswagen ID3.

Wiltshire Police say they are particularly keen to speak to the driver of this vehicle as part of their ongoing investigation.

They are also urging anyone who was in the area at the time, or who may have dash cam footage of the collision or the Volkswagen, to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597, quoting log number 84 of April 19, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
