Wiltshire Police has launched an appeal for information after a group of males were seen flying a drone over Lacock Abbey.
Officers are hoping to speak to the group as part of an ongoing investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body in Lacock on Thursday, 13th August.
Police said the men were believed to have been flying the drone between 7pm and 9pm that evening and are keen to establish whether any footage captured could assist with their investigation.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Officers are looking to speak to a group of males seen flying a drone over Lacock Abbey on August 13 as part of an unrelated, ongoing investigation.
“They are believed to have been flying the drone between 7pm and 9pm.
“We are keen to speak with them to see if any footage captured could assist with the investigation.

Emergency services were called to the River Avon in Lacock, near Lacock Abbey, at around 11pm on Thursday, 13th August.
A woman in her forties was found dead at the scene, with police currently treating her death as unexplained.
The appeal for the drone operators is not suggesting that they are connected to the woman’s death. Wiltshire Police has described the investigation in relation to the drone footage as unrelated.
