Police are urgently appealing for help finding a car which was involved in a police officer being injured over the weekend.
The vehicle, a white Dacia Jogger Expression registration WU73MXL, was spotted in a field by a police officer at approximately 11.30pm on Saturday night (1/6) in Conscience Lane, Devizes.
The officer left his car and went over to try and speak to the occumpants of the Dacia but the driver drove off, intentionally colliding with the officer.
Police have since arrested a man in his 30's from Twerton in Bath on suspicion of attempted murder.
The officer sustained injuries which required hospital treatment and is now recovering at home.
A police spokesperson said:: "We are keen to locate the Dacia we believe to have been involved and are urging members of the public with information to get in touch.
"We believe the vehicle may be in the area west of Bath."
