POLICE have confirmed they have recovered the body of a man this morning, 13th August in Chippenham.

Several police cars alongside an ambulance and rapid response vehicle arrived at the scene near Pew Hill on the B4069 just after 11am this morning following a concerned phone call from a member of the public.

Sadly, the body of a man was discovered and a police cordon was put in place between Saxby Road and Cocklebury lane.

A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “”Following a report from a member of the public, officers attended an area of land adjacent to Pew Hill in Chippenham, shortly after 11am today (13/08).

"Sadly a man was pronounced dead at the scene. Although further enquiries are ongoing, this is currently being treated as a non-suspicious incident.
Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends."
