Police are appealing for witnesses after a blind woman in her 70s was assaulted while travelling on a bus between Chippenham and Melksham.
The incident happened on Friday, 11th July, on the Faresaver X34 service, which left Chippenham at around midday heading towards Frome.
The woman boarded the bus in Chippenham and got off in Melksham. During the journey, a man repeatedly shouted abuse at her before hitting her on the head.
Police say there is no CCTV footage available and they do not have a description of the suspect. Officers are now asking anyone who was travelling on the bus at the time, or who may have seen what happened, to come forward.
