Part of Station Road in Calne will be closed for an evening next week while urgent repairs are carried out.
Wiltshire Council has issued a temporary road closure for Tuesday 25th August, from 7pm until midnight.
The closure will run from the roundabout at New Road to the junction with Woodland Park.
The council says the work is needed for urgent Bobcat patching and associated works.
There is no alternative route listed in the notice, although access for residents and businesses will be maintained where possible.
Drivers are warned that delays are likely because of the nature of the work. The closure will be clearly signed and is expected to be in place for one evening.
The legal notice allows for the closure to remain in place for up to five days if necessary.
