Sandpit Road in Calne will be closed to traffic for one day on Thursday 5th November while urgent carriageway repairs are carried out.
The road is due to be shut for repair work, with the affected stretch running between Sand Pit Road and Ceres Place.
The work is scheduled to take placeg during the day, between 9am and 4pm.
Drivers will be directed around the closure using a diversion that includes Oxford Road, Abberd Way, Prince Charles Drive, Davy Drive, Gregor Drive and Spitfire Road.
People living or working in the area should still be able to reach their properties and premises where possible, but some disruption is expected.
The closure notice allows for the restriction to remain in place for up to five days, although the planned works are expected to require just one day.
