RESIDENTS are advised of an urgent road closure scheduled for 29th April, affecting a section of the C15 road in Compton Bassett.
Wiltshire Council has announced the closure in the interest of public safety, allowing Wessex Water to undertake crucial repairs to replace a communication pipe and conduct other associated works.
The affected section of the C15 will be from its junction with the Right of Way known as CBAS19 for approximately 60 meters in a North Westerly direction.
The closure is expected to be in place for two days, commencing on 29th April, 2025, although the official notice allows for a maximum duration of five days.
A diversion route will be in operation, clearly marked with traffic signs and symbolised by a solid circle.
The alternative route is as follows - via C15 (unaffected length), A4, A3102, C15 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
While access for residents and businesses will be maintained where possible, delays are likely due to the nature of the urgent works.
