A section of Stockley Lane East to Blackland Crossroads in Cherhill has been closed from today for urgent sewer lining works, with the closure expected to continue until 23rd September.
Wiltshire Council has issued an urgent road closure notice covering part of Stockley Lane East to Blackland Crossroads, Cherhill.
The closure came into effect on 3rd September 2026 and is being carried out to allow Wessex Water Services to undertake urgent sewer lining and associated works.
The closure affects part of Stockley Lane East to Blackland Crossroads, extending in a south-easterly direction.
A signed diversion is in place via Quemerford and the unaffected section of Stockley Lane East to Blackland Crossroads, and vice versa.
Wiltshire Council says access for residents and businesses will be maintained where possible, although delays are likely because of the nature of the works.
Anyone requiring further information about the works can contact Wessex Water Services on 0345 600 4600.
