POLICE have made two arrests following a robbery at a jewellery shop in Devizes earlier today. 31/01
Thieves targeted the shop in Estcourt Street at about 12.10pm and made off with a tray of gold jewellery, leaving the scene in a Renault Clio.
A Roads Policing Unit, Armed Response and the Local Policing Tasking Team pursued the vehicle which was tracked to the A350 near the M4 junction 17.
Police used a stinger to a stop the car without contact with any police cars and the stolen jewellery was also recovered.
Consequently, a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery and a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft. They have been taken into custody for questioning.
