POLICE have arrested two teenage boys on suspicion of GBH and robbery following a stabbing in Devizes in the early hours of yesterday morning, 3rd January.

Emergency services were called to the incident in Long Street at around 2am yesterday following a stabbing and threats made with a firearm. 

A man in his 30's was treated in hospital for knife wounds to his arm which are not thought to be life changing or life threatening, and has since been discharged.

Officers investigating the incident have arrested a 15-year-old boy from Devizes on suspicion of GBH and robbery. He has since been released on bail.

A 16-year-old boy has also been arrested this morning on suspicion of GBH and robbery and remains in custody for questioning.

Police say that residents are likely to see more officers in the area as they carry out reassurance patrols.
