Calne Cricket Club is celebrating a stellar start to the season after a weekend of impressive performances across all its teams.

The club boasts a clean sweep of victories in their scheduled matches, setting a strong tone for the season ahead.

The Calne 1st team marked their return to Division 1 in dramatic fashion, securing a nail-biting 1-wicket victory over Marlborough. In a game that went down to the wire, Sean Adams' side displayed resilience and determination to clinch their first win of the season.

They now look forward to their upcoming match against Warminster next week.

Meanwhile, Charlie Doel's Calne 2nd team travelled to Bath and dominated their match against Winsley 3's. After posting a formidable 307 runs in their first innings, they bowled Winsley out for 221, securing an impressive 86-run victory.

The 2nd team will be hosting Chippenham 4th team at Beversbrook this coming Saturday.

Unfortunately, the Calne 3rd team's game was called off due to the opposition being unable to raise a team. However, they are eager to get back on the field and will be hosting local rivals Goatacre 4th team this Saturday at Calne.

New captain Dave Mundy enjoyed a successful debut leading the 4th team, welcoming Beckington 2's to Calne. Beckington posted a respectable 182-7 in their 40 overs, but Calne chased down the runs with 5 wickets to spare, securing a well-deserved victory.

Mundy will now lead his team to Westbury this weekend to face Westbury 4th team.

With a perfect record of 3 wins from 3 scheduled games, Calne Cricket Club has had a dream start to the season.
