POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault on Curzon Street in Calne.
The incident happened on Saturday 18th January between 7.45pm and 8pm near to the Springfield Drive turning on Curzon Street.
Police say a man was seen trying to open car door handles in the area before then standing in the middle of the busy road.
A woman who had seen the man and was concerned for his welfare, approached him which then led to an alarming interaction in which the man kissed the woman's hand and forehead multiple times.
The man is described as being in his early 20's, white and about 5ft 7. He had short dark hair and some stubble. He was wearing a full camouflage tracksuit.
Police are asking for anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage to contact the police on 101, quoting reference number 54250007031.
