Fire crews and police attended the scene of a bizarre RTC at The Pippin in Calne on Friday evening, 27/9.

A black Jaguar crashed straight into the Domino's Pizza store and came to rest inside the restaurant.

An eyewitness told us they saw the Jaguar drive into the upper Sainsbury's car park and believe it hit another car parked there, the driver then reversed back from the stricken parked car and shot across the road, ploughing through the doors of Domino's coming to rest inside the restaurant.

Police closed the road while they deal with the scene.

A police spokesperson told us: “We responded to reports of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles crashing into Dominos, The Pippin, Calne just before 5pm last night (Friday).

“A person who was inside the store at the time of the collision, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital to be checked over for injuries not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

“A driver, a man in his 60s, was reported for careless driving.”
