THE Met Office has issued another weather warning which includes the Calne area as more heavy rain is heading our way.
The warning comes into force from 5pm on Thursday 26th September and remains in place until 10am on Friday 27th September.
This new warning comes just days after torrential rain caused mayhem on the roads with some areas having to be closed due to flooding.
A Met Office forecaster said: “Whilst some areas will miss the worst, areas of heavy, showery rain are expected to become widespread across a swathe of England and Wales during Thursday evening and on into Friday morning.
“There is some uncertainty in the details, but some locations may see up 20 to 30mm of rain in 2 to 3 hours and perhaps 40 to 60 mm in 4 to 6 hours.
“Lightning and strong, gusty winds may be additional hazards, especially in southwest coastal areas. Given the recent very wet weather, this will bring the potential for further flooding and transport disruption.”
