A growing Wiltshire fashion swap group is bringing its latest event to Calne next month, with a pop-up at The Pink Cafe.
Swap Society, founded by Meagan Powell and Gracie May White, will host the event on Sunday 7th June.

Launched in 2025 as a passion project alongside their full-time careers, Swap Society has quickly grown across Wiltshire. The Calne event will be its seventh swap overall and the third to take place in 2026, with organisers saying it has built a loyal and growing community of regular attendees.
The event will follow the group’s usual format, with people invited to bring up to 20 good quality preloved items. Each item is exchanged for a token, which can then be used to choose something else on the day.
Because of the size of the venue, the event will run using timed entry slots at 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm and 1pm. Each session will last 45 minutes and be limited to 15 people.
Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes before their slot to hand in items and receive tokens, and are encouraged to stay afterwards to enjoy the café.
Tickets cost £5 and must be booked in advance.

The event is being held in partnership with Make it Pink at The Pink Cafe, with organisers saying the venue’s focus on sustainability and community made it a natural fit.
Owner Solance said: “The enthusiasm and energy that Swap Society bring is exactly what Calne needs and it reflects everything we are building here at The Pink Cafe.
“We are so excited to be hosting this event and welcoming new faces into our space. There will be delicious coffees, milkshakes, ice cream and an array of tempting sweet treats available, so come hungry and ready for a sugar rush.”
People attending are being encouraged to wear pink, with those taking part in the theme receiving an extra token.
The organisers say the events are designed to be social as well as sustainable, helping to reduce clothing waste while bringing people together.
Figures show around 300,000 tonnes of clothing is sent to landfill or incineration in the UK each year, while extending the life of clothing by just nine months can reduce its environmental impact by up to 30 per cent.
Regular attendees say the events are about more than just clothes.
Monica said: “It’s more than just clothes. There’s such a strong sense of community at every event.”
Jessica added: “The venues are always amazing. Great coffee, food and music. It feels like a proper social, but with purpose.”
Julia said: “I’ve met so many people through Swap Society. You start to see familiar faces at every swap and it’s so exciting watching it grow.”
Co-founder Meagan Powell said bringing the event to Calne was particularly special for her: “Bringing Swap Society to Calne is incredibly special for me as it is my hometown. This project has always been something I am deeply passionate about, and I am so excited to share it with both new and returning swappers in the local community.”

Co-founder Gracie May White added: “Our mission is to keep clothing circular and make preloved fashion feel exciting and accessible across Wiltshire. We partner with venues that share our values around sustainability and community, and we have seen these events grow from small gatherings into sold out swaps with hundreds of attendees.”
