Kingsbury Green Academy staged a Lego “fire walk” on Tuesday 17th March to raise money for new outdoor furniture.
Members of staff braved the painful challenge by walking barefoot across Lego bricks instead of hot coals, in front of a large crowd of students.

The four-metre walk saw a selected group of teachers and staff step along a red carpet covered in Lego as part of the fundraising event.
Hayley Illman, co-head of student engagement, said the idea came from the school’s Student Leadership Team, which is raising money for new benches and table seating for the school field.
She said: “Our Student Leadership Team is raising money for new benches and table seating for the school field and came up with this rather novel idea.
“A typical fire walk is potentially painful but so is walking over bits of Lego. Anyone who has children at home will know this.
“It was a great, fun event which really got the school buzzing. Students were rallying around their favourite teachers.”
Student Leadership Team members Stanley Fisher and Maddie Millin said the event had generated plenty of interest among pupils while helping build excitement around future fundraising.
They said: “It was a positive event which got lots of student interest and it was also great to get the teachers involved.
“It’s all about lifting morale and getting people excited for fundraising and further school events in the future.
“The benches, which we are raising money for, are really important because our students want somewhere nice to sit at break and lunchtime and it’s so much better than sitting on the floor.”
The event raised £150 towards the new seating, with more fundraising planned.
